Colours for Week 40 are Butter, Peach, Baby Blue & Malachite

I’m on the island of Hydra in Greece where my final art retreat of 2024 has just begun. In my free time I’ve been able to explore the island and neighbouring Spetses, including visits to the local museums. Part of Greece’s National Historical Museum, the Lazaros Koundouriotis Historical Mansion highlights how Hydra became the pre-eminent sea power amongst the Greek islands and was key in the Greek War of Independence fought agains the Ottoman Empire.
