Papercut homage to 'wycinanki'
Mixing Week 13s colours and two artworks incorporating paper cutting
It’s the Easter weekend and I’ve created three demos using Coloricombo Week 13’s colours. There’s is a short demo showing paper cutting inspired by the Polish wycinanki style as shown in this week’s featured artwork.
The first video is a colour mixing demo using Golden QoR and Schminke’ Horadam white gouache to create maroon, sand, parchment and coal black.
To end March’s collage theme I created a simple paper cutout artwork using painted papers in a layered collage. You can see the materials’s I’m using on my Colour Collage I course page.
If you would like to dive a bit deeper and discover more painting and paper layering collaging, use the code COLORICOMBO10 for a 10% discount on this and any other online courses. This offer is valid until midnight on Monday 1 April.
All courses have 12 months’ access from day of registration.
Finally, for full subscribers, there’s a third demonstration below. I’ve used a paper cutout as a template for a painting, incorporating carbon copy paper. This creates both a positive and negative shape to paint on.
