Demo mixing Sap Green, Moss Green, Mustard & Paynes Grey
A 'live' painting session using Week 8's colours
We’re currently travelling and staying in Scarborough, a place I find inspiring and rejuvenating. It’s close to Cape Point in South Africa, “the fairest cape we saw in the whole circumference of the earth” according to Sir Francis Drake.
I did a ‘live’ (i.e. mostly unedited) painting demo today using Coloricombo Week 8’s colours.
Since this is a different format to usual, I’m sending it out to everyone and not just to paid (a BIG thanks to you) subscribers.
In the demo I’m painting small succulent plant forms in limited colours using QoR watercolours and a pointed round brush (Silver Silk 88 No.10). The plant forms you see in the outcome will be used to create a repeat pattern.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
Apologies, the audio in this video is not quite up to my usual standard since we are travelling with limited equipment.
I learned so much from your demo today, Este. I have only the six colors in my new QOR watercolor set. It was not possible for me to match this week’s color palette but I worked with what I have. I will try again with my acrylics tomorrow in order to match the colors to your Week 8, possibly painting on the same page from today.
Loved this video. Thank you.
