What's in store for you
Have a sneaky peek to get an idea of what you will learn in the different lessons from the fourteen teachers.
Petal Pop
This vibrant floral in cool pinks and greens is created by Michelle Allen. In her lesson she demonstrates how she uses acrylic gouache in layers along with pencil on paper.
Painted Floral Fantasia in a Vessel
Jennifer Orkin Lewis' iconic illustrative style is widely know. For her colourful, intuitive paintings she uses mainly acrylic gouache and in her lesson she'll demonstrate a selection of techniques to paint florals in a vase incorporating her chosen Coloricombo palette.
Beautiful Blues
Terry Runyan's striking watercolour paintings featuring florals and felines are well known and loved. In her lesson you will learn the steps she uses to create a layered painting. Some techniques shown are wet on wet watercolour, negative painting and adding details with an acrylic pen. Terry sneakily incorporates a pink cheeked cat in her blue monochrome floral themed artwork.
Petals, Patterns & Proportions
Dive into a joyful exploration of pattern, colour and composition with Dar James. In this lesson Dar will demonstrate different ways to use acrylics to make your own unique collage papers. She will also show you how to make a series of small mixed media layered collages on cradle board.
Cohesive Collection Creation
Kenzie Elston gives an insight into her process as it evolves from sketch to surface pattern design. See how floral doodles become designs in strong pinks and reds with cool blue for contrast.
Blooming Beyond
Something different, big and bold. Learn how Lori Siebert creates a colourful 3D floral arrangement in a paper vase using the colours of a Vanessa Bell painting.
Painting in the Moment
Tansy Hargan is known for her love of colour and meditative painting process of shapes in watercolour.
In her lesson, Tansy paints fluid organic shapes in greens and a Russet orange and colourful piece whilst looking at the nature from her studio's window.
Botanical Medallions
In this lesson Jennifer Wilkin Penick will show you a technique to paint strong, beautiful florals shapes with black accent lines. She uses a round format to create a series of imaginary collage blooms using collage, acrylic paint and then black ink.
Flip + Fold Florals
Julie Hamilton incorporates beautiful botanical shapes in her lesson that's all about experimentation. She will demonstrate how she uses warm and soothing watercolour tints in flowing lines in the creation of a beautiful accordion book.
Enchanted Woodland Pop Up
In this lesson with Lucia Leyfield you'll learn how to create your own pop-up magical woodland scene using the fluidity of watercolours in combination with drawn marks
Through a combination of layering techniques, paper cutting and creative design, your woodland will come to life with vibrant blooms and hidden surprises!
Light, Shadows & Floral Patterns
Charlotte Hamilton will show us ways to create subtle hues using graphite pencils and watercolour in a lesson about dimension, light and shadow.
Wildflower Wonder
Australian native wildflowers are the inspiration for Georgina Forbes' lesson where she paints a stylised artwork in pinks and yellows. She will demonstrate how she uses a combination of watercolour, acrylic inks and pens.
Paint a Sweet Pea Shadowbox
Carrie Schmitt is known for her freestyle florals and free spirited way of creating.
In this lesson she has a little surprise for you. In addition to making a floral artwork in acrylic paint on a wooden cradle board, Carrie will also show us how she continues to make a hidden artwork on the reverse side of the painting.
Beyond Grey
Inspiration is everywhere, Este MacLeod will demonstrate in her lesson how a tomato can be the source for creating interesting imaginary floral shapes in a very limited palette.
