Spring is in the air, bluebells are in full bloom in our garden. This time of year is always energising to me, I am busy with some big floral paintings at the moment, over the weekend I decided to spend a bit of time just playing with pencils, and made a drawing in my sketchbook. You can see the simple Easter Bunny creation below, for the drawing I used Luminance colour pencils and a pencil blender. The video recording is posted below for can be contributing subscribers.

Over the last month or so I’ve been beavering away in my studio making art, a collection of new paintings are almost ready to be framed. Some of these will be available during the Henley Arts Trail that’ll take place over the next Bank Holiday weekend (3-5 May) There are also some big and bold floral artworks completed for the Hampstead Affordable Art Fair (7-11 May) where Iona House Gallery will represent me.

The Henley Arts Trail happens annually and this is coincides with the time that my studio is open to the public. Opening times are 10am to 5pm from Saturday to Monday 3-5 May or by appointment in the week after the trail. If you’re in the vicinity please drop in! If you are interested in collecting an original artwork but live further away or abroad you can sign up to my mailing list, I will add a new collection of 12”x12” originals to my store in the coming weeks and announce it on my newsletter.

In this impromptu pencil drawing session, the colours used are Cornflower Blue, Misty Grey, Sand & Heather taken from #coloricombo Week 14.
