Collage is an ideal way to explore creative possibilities! Painted paper collage is a technique I use in many of my painting courses to explain layering of acrylics with painting medium. You can still sign up for Collage Makers Summit 2025 (registration closes 30 March).

To compliment my lesson in Collage Makers Summit 2025 I followed up with this lesson where a black and white painted tissue paper collage is transformed into a yellow and green painting using acrylic matte medium along with acrylic Fluid and High Flow paints.
For those who’ve viewed the full lesson on Collage Makers Summit and have done the project, thank you for the positive feedback! Here’s a comment I saw this morning
I’ve added a materials list for what was used in the lesson:
Watercolour pad (I use Hahnemuhle pads or books)
QoR watercolours (Nickel Azo Yellow and Paynes Grey)
Golden High Flow black paint
Silver Silk 88 dagger brush 1/4” and Silver fan brush
Wet strength tissue paper.
Dry waxed deli paper.
